What is scalping?

According to our trading experience we the traders actually select our trading strategies. From my first day of trading I have been using scalping strategy that brings profit in a short time. And now I am looking for a broker which permits scalping including lowest trading spreads as well minimum margin requirements.

I would be careful if you wanted to start scalping. It is really really difficult to do and you have to be stuck at a a computer all day

Really? Then, what’s your opinion on long-term trading? I think, stack at a computer in all day is not necessary for scalping trading!

Serious scalping often requires an infrastructure that creates a heavy overhead cost, both hardware, connectivity, and software. The reality is if there was a successful strategy that worked it wouldn’t likely be sold by the user.

The fact is that most traders, regardless of how intelligent and knowledgeable they may be about the markets, lose money. There are many reasons traders lose money. Most commonly, its the lack of experience, bad money management, and misuse of trading signals.

Scalpers attempt to act like traditional market makers or specialists. To make the spread means to buy at the Bid price and sell at the Ask price, in order to gain the bid/ask difference. This procedure allows for profit even when the bid and ask don't move at all, as long as there are traders who are willing to take market prices. It normally involves establishing and liquidating a position quickly, usually within minutes or even seconds.
