Italian PM Monti says the meeting on July 9 probably won’t give leaders enough time to finalize details and convince skeptics on using the ESM to buy bonds.
Finland and Holland have spoken out strongly against the plans and Monti said another meeting, on July 20, may be needed.
Italian 10-year yields down 11 bps today to 5.63% — the lowest since early June.
